Representative Antonio "Moe" Maestas
I have worked with Michelle in passing several public health initiatives in the legislature. Michelle is an accomplished leader, has the guts to get things done (for the west side) and has a clear vision for a "Better Bernalillo County." I am proud to vote for Michelle and encourage you to do the same.

Representative Rhonda King
One of Michelle’s greatest qualities is her responsiveness to constituents. I can always count on Michelle to respond to individual, as well as community, needs. Most recently, she brought an issue to me, on behalf of a woman raising her disabled grandchild, and was then instrumental in helping us to pass important legislation – work she did solely as a volunteer. The residents of Bernalillo County will be fortunate to have someone with Michelle’s commitment representing them. I strongly support her candidacy for county commissioner.

Senator Dede Feldman
Michelle is a strong advocate for the most vulnerable members of our community. She stands up for seniors by pursuing public policies that protect their rights. I have had the pleasure of working with Michelle and having her support on issues I care about – access to affordable quality health care and prescription drugs, public health, consumer protections and transparency in publically funded programs, to name a few. I support Michelle and look forward to having her be my commissioner.

Representative Nick Salazar
I have worked with Michelle for almost two decades, primarily on senior issues. She has a talent for bringing communities together. Under her leadership, senior centers and aging programs across the state united in a way that was very effective at building statewide resources while remaining responsive to individual community needs. I believe those skills are critical to the work of a county commissioner and will serve Michelle and the residents of Bernalillo County well.

Representative Gail Chasey
It has been my pleasure to work with Michelle over many years and to observe her leadership skills in the administration of both the aging and health departments. She is passionate about patient and individual rights, thoughtful about the effects of public policy on individuals, families and communities, ethical in all aspects of her work and accountable for her actions and the programs she operates. No issue is too tough for her to take on if it’s the right thing to do. I support her without hesitation as a Bernalillo County Commissioner.

Representative Danice Picraux
As a leader on both the Health and Human Services Committee and the Appropriations Committee, I have worked with Michelle and had her testify before me, representing both the Aging Department and, later, the Department of Health – under three governors. Michelle always has a creative idea for solving problems and is able to effectively build bipartisan support. I respect and trust Michelle and know she will serve Bernalillo County residents well.

City Councilor Debbie O’Malley
I have come to know Michelle over the last couple years and have valued her input on a number of issues. As a county commissioner, I know that I will be able to count on Michelle to come to the table with me, as a city counselor, to work on issues of concern to city and county residents. I look forward to having a partner that will assist me in building bridges between the interests of city and county government to more effectively serve our residents. I strongly endorse Michelle as a candidate for Bernalillo County Commission representing District 1.

Representative Ed Sandoval
The capital projects process developed by Michelle for senior centers is still the model preferred by legislators for effective capital outlay planning and funding. Her approach was visionary and resulted in a fair distribution of resources. I support Michelle as county commissioner and am glad she will be representing me.

Angie Vachio
Michelle Lujan Grisham will make an outstanding county commissioner for Bernalillo County. Her high energy, deep commitment, sound understanding of our issues, and demonstrated ability to roll up her sleeves and get the job done, will make her a ready commission member to help move Bernalillo County forward. I've known Michelle for years and have seen what this amazing woman can accomplish for children, seniors, families, and those with special needs. Michelle Lujan Grisham as our next county commissioner is good fortune for us all.
