Integrity and Accountability in Government – Public trust and effective leadership are the cornerstones of my candidacy. I have a proven track record of transparent, effective and honest service with real results. I am committed to nothing less for Bernalillo County citizens. I will act with the utmost integrity and will work tirelessly as your representative on the County Commission.

Jobs and the Economy – We have a duty to balance meaningful economic development with the principles of good environmental stewardship. I will work to bring clean, sustainable, high tech jobs to the district that enhances our community. We must develop appropriate infrastructure: roads, utilities, recreation areas and open space, schools, technology and public safety.

Preserve Natural Resources - Bernalillo County has a beautiful and diverse landscape that requires steadfast stewardship to sustain our current quality of life. I will protect our water, open space and environment so that future generations may continue to live and prosper in our communities.

Balanced Development – Development in the county must focus on bringing jobs to our community, incorporate smart design, be thoughtful and ensure taxpayer safeguards. I firmly believe productive planning for our future is the key to successful long-term development in the district.

Public Safety – Assuring that our emergency responders, fire fighters, emergency medical technicians and police have the support and tools they need to protect county residents will continue to be a top priority. I will work towards coordination and better leveraging of resources between the City of Albuquerque and Bernalillo County because it is critical in order to assure a sustainable public safety agenda.

Access to Quality Healthcare - I have spent much of my career working to improve access to quality healthcare and related safety net services and will continue to fight for an effective healthcare system. The County has a role to play in that regard and, as a Commissioner, I will make sure the County is an effective partner with UNM and other community providers.
